Introducing the Equip Team…

Martin Habineza

In Rwanda, our team is led by Martin Habineza. Martin has a heart to work with the communities that Equip serves. He has a vast knowledge of the skills and resources that are available locally and the ability to ensure the efficient operation and delivery of Equip’s key projects. A father of three young children, Martin was also an Equip representative on the Nyamirame TVET School Board of Governors.

Claudine Uwimana

Claudine Uwimana is married to Martin and leads Equip’s House of Hope project. A beautiful Christian lady, Claudine has a real passion to make a difference in the lives of the children of her community. We know that with her, the project is in safe hands.

Philbert Hakizimana

Philbert Hakizimana provides essential support for Victory Football Academy and House of Hope. Philbert has to ensure that resources and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, prepared and safely secured. He enjoys being an extra pair of hands during both activities.

Thierry Cyubahiro

Thierry Cyubahiro has a diploma in football coaching and a wealth of experience including working with his favourite team, Heroes FC which plays in the professional football league in Rwanda.

Yvan Sebashy

Yvan Sebashy currently looks after our Under 10 side. He has over a decade of successful coaching experience which began with a role leading the Under 16s at Nyanza FC who play in the Rwandan second division.

Fidele Habinshuti

Fidele Habinshuti has FIFA coaching certification, specialising in goalkeeping. He has extensive playing experience featuring most prominantly as goalkeeper for Marine FC in Rwanda’s Premiere League.

Beth Tuck

Beth Tuck is our lead UK coordinator for Victory Football Academy. Beth is a King’s School alumi who first travelled to Rwanda in 2018 as a pupil. She completed a degree in sports coaching and is generously giving of her time to both raise funds and provide professional support and advice the academy.

Equip UK – Trustees

Equip is led and governed by a team of three founding Trustees who all live and work in Hampshire, UK.

Our Chair of Trustees is Paul Johnson. Paul (centre) has been in education for almost 40 years and was Head Master of The King’s School, a Christian school in Hampshire for a decade. Jon Sweeney (right) is a successful local businessman in the construction industry and Martin Hughes (left) is a senior doctor in general practice and an elder of a local church. They are supported by a loyal team of volunteers, across Hampshire and beyond.
