RWANDA

Our Team

We are pleased to introduce our team.

Happy Jean Bosco Asifiwe

In Rwanda, our team is led by our Director of Operations, Happy Jean Bosco Asifiwe. Having studied Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, Happy was volunteering with the Ministry of Health in Rwanda working with the teams testing for COVID before working with Equip.
Happy also has experience of working with young people across a number of initiatives including the Imbuto Foundation Alumni Association and the One Health for Central and Eastern African project.

Augustine Sekaduli

Also working in the Kigali office is Augustine Sekaduli whom we have known for many years. He has been both a pastor and teacher and now helps out with the accounts one day a week.
Augustine is Finance assistant and Equip representative on the Nyamirama TVET School Board of Governors.

Martin Habineza

Another loyal friend on the Equip team is Martin Habineza. A father of three young children, Martin is also an Equip representative on the Nyamirama TVET School Board of Governors and joins the team on many project visits.

Agnes Kayitesi

Agnes Kayitesi is the founder of The Joy of a Child. As well as being a busy mother and a pastor’s wife she works full time for local government.

Eliphaz Mpanoyimana

Eliphaz Mpanoyimana is President team of Educators for Needy Children and also a full-time secondary school teacher.

Robert Rugema

Miracle Soccer Ministries is led by ex- Rwandan international footballer, Robert Rugema who is also a pastor and businessman.

Josephine Niyotwambaza

The staff at Nyamirama TVET School are led by Josephine Niyotwambaza, an experienced teacher and school leader who has a university degree in Economics and Business Studies.

Equip UK – Trustees

Equip is led and governed by a team of three founding Trustees who all live and work in Hampshire, UK.

Our Chair of Trustees is Paul Johnson. Paul (centre) has been in education for almost 40 years and was Head Master of The King’s School, a Christian school in Hampshire for a decade. Jon Sweeney (right) is a successful local businessman in the construction industry and Martin Hughes (left) is a senior doctor in general practice and an elder of a local church. They are supported by a loyal team of volunteers, across Hampshire and beyond.
